Oldfield Agricultural Contractors - Liquid Fertiliser
 Liquid fertiliser offers an alternative route to applying nitrogen from standard granular ammonium nitrate fertilisers. We have specialised in supplying and spreading liquid ammonium sulphate for 20 years and now cover a wide range of farms within the Yorkshire area. Stuart Oldfield is a qualified FACTS advisor and is happy to offer you farm nutrient advice if required.
Liquid ammonium sulphate fertiliser is a highly effective form of nitrogen and sulphur, suitable for the entire range of crops including; grass, cereals, root crops and oil seed rape, as well as providing an excellent after cut fertiliser for second and third cut silages. It can be applied in early February due to it’s lack of vulnerability to leaching and volatilisation or as soon as ground conditions allow in early Spring.
Using our liquid fertiliser eliminates the need for storage requirements on farm and offers a safe and secure form of fertiliser use as well as being highly cost effective. Spreading is carried out using our Mercedes Benz Unimog, equiped with low ground pressure tyres and using GPS technology in order to achieve ultimate accuracy. Liquid fertiliser applied by this method reduces the chances of fertiliser getting thrown into water courses, striping and being wasted in hedge backs and ditches.
 An order for Liquid Fertiliser can be made with us at any time of year for the forthcoming season so any price incentives can be taken advantage of. A confirmation of the order is then sent out to verify the tonnage required and the price agreed. The next phase of the operation is you deciding when ground conditions can allow us to start spreading in the spring and the tanker and spreader can be booked accordingly. The payment agreed at the outset only becomes due once spreading is concluded. |
