Oldfield Agricultural Contractors - Silage Making
We can offer either full or part operations for forage conservation, and pride ourselves in taking the time to ensure that the end result is high quality forage for our clients. This has been demonstrated in some recent successes within the local grassland society’s silage competitions over recent years. We can also offer advice on silage making procedures, additive use and techniques in order to improve an existing system, if required.
Silage making operations encompass the full range of forage crops including; wholecrop - both fermented and treated, grass, maize and legumes. Our operation is based around a high capacity Claas self propelled forage harvester to enable us to achieve a fast and efficient service.
Mowing, tedding, raking and buckraking services are offered along with high capacity trailers on low ground pressure tyres.
